Hi, I’m a multi-disciplinary artist
& a multi-interest human.
My name is Gabrielle.

Can you remember the smell of home?
What does it feel like?
I can offer words like happiness, comfort, peace, but those don’t quite capture it, do they?
Can you think of the moment or sound, in that particular song, that makes you just feel… something odd.
Nostalgia? Melancholy in a strangely open, timeless way?
Those moments are there in everything: paintings, dance, forests, smells, clothing.
They are also recurrent, and they appear in drastically different places, seemingly unrelated.
I think that each of these experiences are identifiable and distinct, no matter where or how they appear.
My theory is that they are threads that can be followed back to their origin—or home of sorts—and explored more deeply.
My work is to experience, catalogue, and observe these threads,
following them through the different mediums they appear in.
My job literally is to step out of the way—and often.
I have a burning curiosity for the fundamental mechanics that underlie and shape our perceived human experience.
Want to share your experience of one of these moments?
Curious to connect for an interesting discussion?
Have an idea that furiously excites you?
Just want to say hi?
